If you are in the mood for adventure then get to know the south of Thailand by
traveling around. You can take a hike
through Kao-Sok National Park where you can experience the thrill of
riding an elephant. During the daytime you can watch the wild monkeys frolicking
around at their watering hole. For a true taste of nature you can even stay in
a tree house in the jungle!
Pang-Nga Bay is located on the west coast. You can hire a longtail boat to take you to the famous James-Bond
Island. Along the way you will pass some picturesque villages built on wooden stilts in the middle of the sea. If you journey further south you will end up on Phuket
Island, one of the most sought out tourist destinations in Thailand.
Built during the Ayutthaya period, Wat Kradangnga is an ancient temple about 200 meters away from Khanom on Nai Phlao road. Inside the convocation hall are exquisite murals of Lord Buddha's life. There is also a magnificent
Buddha image from the Ayutthaya period and interesting artifacts, particularly plates and bowls.
